Ear Balm contains natural oils and butters to help keep horses' ears and faces moisturised and comfortable during the dry summer months.
Dry, irritated ears can be a great source of annoyance to horses, causing them to head toss and be generally irritable. Ear Balm can be used on any skin on your horse to moisturise and soothe irritation.
INGREDIENTS
All of the ingredients in Ear Balm have been chosen to help your horse stay comfortable and protected from summer irritations.
Olive Oil - A moisturising and antibacterial oil
Shea butter - A moisturiser with natural UV protective elements
Beeswax - Beeswax provides a barrier against moisture loss
Saltidin (10%) - A state-of-the-art synthetic compound used to soothe, moisturise and reduce irritation
Neem oil - An essential oil with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties
INSTRUCTIONS
Spot check on a small area of skin before use and do not use if a reaction is shown. Rub a small amount onto visible areas of the ear and face. Do not get any in deeper parts of the ear. Re-apply as required.
Can I use Ear Balm in other Areas?
Yes, the balm can be used anywhere apart from very close to the eyes to soften and soothe skin.
How often do I need to re-apply Ear Balm?
Ear Balm usually provides relief from irritation for between 24 and 48 hours.
Will Ear Balm make my horse more prone to sunburn?
The ingredients in Ear Balm have an average SPF (Sun Protection Factor) of around 5 so it should reduce the chances of sunburn.
Can I use Ear Balm on other animals?
We recommend not. We do not know of any other species being intolerant to any of the ingredients, but as Ear Balm is formulated for horses reactions to its ingredients in other animals have not been studied.
Are there any other safety precautions for Ear Balm?
Ear Balm contains nut oils (shea) so it should be kept out of contact with anyone who has nut allergies. With any products containing essential oils we recommend doing a patch test prior to more extensive application on skin.
Is Ear Balm safe to apply with my bare hands?
